Residential Services

FRA’s Residential Program provides supports for developmentally disabled adults.  It is designed to ensure that each individual receives the amount of assistance and support needed to fully participate in community life.

Activities which any member of the community takes for granted are fully available to every individual according to their needs and goals. Whether it is volunteering, working, visiting family locally or out of area, socializing with friends, or taking a vacation, FRA staff is there to facilitate full community living.

Staffed Community Residences

Individuals may choose to reside in an apartment, a cluster of apartments, or a single family home.  24-hour staff provide individualized assistance in daily living and recreational activities, medical appointments, education, employment and transportation. You can see some photo galleries of these FRA residences on our Fairbanks Resource Agency Facebook page.

Independent Living

Individuals live in their own home or apartment and staff support is provided only as needed or requested.

Care Coordination

Care coordinators assist adults with identifying their goals and help develop ways to achieve them.

Care coordinators develop support plans for people who use FRA services. They also assure coordination of services, act as a link to community resources, and encourage participation in local activities.

Care coordinators provide services to all individuals receiving community living or employment support.
