Memorial Gifts & Gifts in Honor
- Gifts in honor of someone are usually made to provide recognition for a family member, friend or colleague or to commemorate birthday, wedding, anniversary, volunteer service, or other special occasions. Sometimes they are a wonderful solution for the person who “has everything”. Such a gift is appreciated by the honoree as well as FRA.
- Gifts made in memory recognize someone who has passed away and celebrates their life. They are a special way to honor a respected colleague or a beloved friend or family member.
FRA takes special care with such gifts. The donor is thanked and given the tax credit per current tax law. The person being honored is told about the gift and who made it. For gifts that memorialize the deceased, the family is notified. (Dollar amounts are not revealed, only the sentiment. ) The names of donors and those recognized are published in our Annual Report.
By making such a gift, you are honoring or memorializing those who deserve recognition, plus investing in a valuable community resource – FRA. Please use the FRA Gift Form (PDF), or contact the Community Outreach & Development Office at (907) 456-8901 for more information.

Employer Gift Matching Programs
Many employers offer matching donations for every dollar their employees give to non-profit organizations. Please ask your employer if they will match your donation to FRA.

Planned Giving: Wills, Bequeaths, Trusts
Planned gifts can help you to save money in taxes, increase your income, and pass more on to your heirs, while at the same time benefiting FRA. Please consult competent professionals, including your lawyer, certified public accountant, financial and insurance counselors, and other advisors to evaluate which options are best for your circumstances. FRA welcomes opportunities to discuss planned giving alternatives with potential donors and their advisors.
